Program: Construction (general)
The foundation slab of a tower is poured in one night, because a cold joint in a mat is a crack waiting to happen.
The setup. Weeks of rebar tying by ironworkers: a mat two metres deep, bars the diameter of a wrist, lifted in by crane. Carpenters build the perimeter forms. Plumbers and electricians set the sleeves.
The night. Trucks queue at 11 pm. Pumps on booms deliver 12,000 cubic metres by dawn. Finishers walk the surface. A testing technician takes cylinders every hundred metres for the lab.
Why night. Traffic, heat, and the concrete plant's whole output for one client.
The chemistry. Cement, water, aggregate, admixtures to slow the set and cut the heat; thermocouples in the mat because a mass pour can cook itself.
The trades. Ironworker, carpenter, concrete finisher, pump operator, truck driver (CDL), testing technician, and the surveyor who checked the top-of-slab elevation before anyone went home.
Look for. The cold-joint sample on the table — what it looks like when the night runs out.

Does the school offer financial aid?
No. We don’t offer financial aid because we’re free. No, really: completely free.
Do you offer industry certification?
No. We are not certified yet, so we can’t offer that to students. What we do offer is knowledge and understanding of a trade.
Enroll first in the trade you’re interested in. You get your key, your program opens, and you begin studying.
